New Opportunities for Pomorie Municipality: Investments in Infrastructure and Quality of Life
Pomorie Municipality is preparing for a significant improvement in the living environment in its settlements through the implementation of Measure 4: “Investments in Basic Services and Small-Scale Infrastructure in Rural Areas”. This initiative is part of the Community-Led Local Development Strategy (CLLD) and is aimed at the sustainable economic and cultural development of the region.
Main objectives and scope
The main focus of the measure is to increase the attractiveness of the settlements in the municipality. The support is aimed at:
- Improving living conditions through the renovation of public areas.
- Educational integration and maintenance of social and sports infrastructure.
- Energy efficiency in municipal buildings with the aim of lower costs and environmental protection.
- Promoting tourism and cultural heritage in the territory.
Who can apply and what are the conditions?
The only eligible applicant under this measure is the Municipality of Pomorie. An important condition is that the project proposals do not generate revenue, and if there is any, they must be used solely for the non-profit purposes of the project.
Financial parameters
The measure offers extremely favourable financing conditions:
- Aid intensity: 100% of the total eligible costs
- Minimum project size: EUR 15,338.76
- Maximum project size: EUR 199,403.83
Eligible activities and costs
Projects can cover a wide range of activities, including:
- Education and culture: Renovation and furnishing of schools and cultural facilities.
- Energy efficiency: Investments in municipal buildings and renewable energy for own needs.
- Public spaces: Construction of parks, squares and sports facilities.
- Smart villages: Support for innovative digital solutions, IT villages and improvement of telecommunications connectivity.
- Infrastructure: Roads and water supply systems, only if part of a larger project or concept for a “smart village”.
Eligible costs include construction, purchase of new machinery and equipment, software, as well as general expenses (fees for architects, engineers and consultants) up to 12% of the project.
Evaluation criteria
Projects will be evaluated on a point system (maximum 100 points), with the passing threshold being 30 points. Priority will be given to:
- Projects implemented in settlements with a larger population (up to 20 points).
- Activities corresponding to the concept of “smart settlements” (15 points).
- Investments in settlements outside the municipal center (15 points).
- Ensuring an accessible environment for people in disadvantaged situations (15 points).
This measure is a key step towards transforming the municipality of Pomorie into a more modern, socially engaged and energy-efficient place to live.
